There’s no shortage of durable, attractive furniture on the market. But architect and product designer Nina Edwards Anker, founder of nea studio, has pushed her slatted-wood Solar Lounger one step further by incorporating photovoltaic panels into its backrest. The energy harvested by these elements then gets used to illuminate the seat at night. “The warm, striated glow of the seating encourages social interaction around the pool area for evening entertainment at home,” says Anker.
