New construction of a Sag Harbor residence located in the historic neighborhood. The modern, airy home is inspired by the client’s years living and surfing in Australia, with all-natural materials and minimal beachy palette. The skillfully crafted wooden window and door frames are handmade by the Australian builder, who also fabricates wooden surfboards. The windows and skylights are strategically placed to amplify light and frame specific views. The basement is made to feel larger and brighter by means of an entry ramp and oversized garage door, which can remain open on warm days and allow access to the back garden.
